  • Hybrid
    • Rotterdam, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands

Job description

We are growing rapidly and constantly expanding our global contactless payment ecosystem. To support this momentum, we are looking for an experienced Hardware Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end development of our cutting-edge hardware products. We need a leader who seamlessly blends technical engineering expertise with exceptional project management to drive hardware from conceptualization through to mass production.

Instead of just tracking milestones, you will take true ownership of our product lifecycle. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, navigate complex global certification processes, and manage international supply chains to ensure our state-of-the-art payment terminals are delivered on time, within budget, and to the absolute highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage end-to-end hardware development projects, maintaining strict control over timelines, budgets, scope, and risk management.

  • Provide technical guidance throughout the hardware development lifecycle (HDLC), guiding design, prototyping, testing, and DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturing/Assembly) processes.

  • Drive certification and compliance processes, working directly with external bodies to ensure all hardware meets stringent global industry standards (e.g., ISO, CE, FCC, UL, RoHS, IPC).

  • Manage global supply chains by building strong relationships with suppliers, CMOs (Contract Manufacturers), and ODMs, support negotiating contracts, and mitigating supply chain risks.

  • Enforce rigorous quality control from concept to production, conducting design and BOM reviews to ensure product reliability and performance.

  • Act as the primary bridge between internal engineering teams, external vendors, and senior leadership, translating technical constraints into clear project updates and strategic recommendations.

  • You hold a recognized Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2). Hardware-specific certifications (e.g., IPC-A-610, ISO 9001) are a strong plus.

  • You have proven experience navigating global hardware certification processes and regulatory compliance (CE, FCC, UL, RoHS, etc.).

  • You are highly proficient in modern project management tools and have familiarity with CAD tools (Altium, SolidWorks) and PLM systems.
